Arts Lab of South County was founded in December of 2018 by five South County women who all believe in the transformative power of a creative community.  

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Southern Anne Arundel County by providing an inclusive space where artists and community members come together to make art accessible, nurturing, and thrilling.

In August of 2019, we opened our doors to artists and our south county neighbors, offering resident artist studios, a gallery, and classroom/communal space.  Arts lab provides creative experiences for the public through open studios, classes, art talks, and free hands-on programs. We offer art up close, in person, and in progress.

In 2022 Clay on the Bay was launched as a place for clay makers to work together, share ideas and materials, and explore their creative journey. In 2024 Arts Lab will build the first communal wood-fired kiln in Anne Arundel County.

Our vision is to create a vibrant, nationally recognized arts destination in Southern Anne Arundel County, Maryland, where everyone can experience the life changing impact of creative expression.
